Permits, compliance & why this matters

Accessible parking stalls, access aisles, and route markings are governed by ADA requirements and Washington building code, and faded or incorrectly dimensioned accessible stalls are a common complaint target. Fire lane markings are enforced by the local fire marshal. Restriping on a regular cycle keeps both current.

Parking Lot Striping: common questions

How often should a parking lot be restriped?

Most Puget Sound lots need restriping every two to three years. Wet winters, heavy traffic, and snow plowing all wear paint faster, and lots that get plowed regularly tend to be on the shorter end of that range.

Do you handle ADA-compliant layouts?

Yes — accessible stalls, access aisles, symbol markings, and signage placement. If your existing layout no longer meets requirements we will tell you before we repaint the same problem.

Does the lot need to be closed?

Sections of it, while paint cures. We usually phase the work so the property stays open, and night or weekend scheduling is common for retail.
